I was born and raised in Aurora Illinois. It was after being home schooled from my early years through high school that I decided  I wanted to become a teacher and pass on the same love of learning and curiosity that I was able to gain through a secure, safe, and caring environment. I graduated from Aurora University in 2012 with  a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education, along with middle school endorsements in the subjects of general science, social studies, and English/Language Arts.  In 2013, I earned my English as a Second Language endorsement.
My semester long student teaching internship was at Holy Angels Catholic school teaching a full day kindergarten class, comprised of 22 students, made primarily of Caucasian and Hispanic students, with some special needs students. During this experience, I was responsible for planning and executing daily lessons and centers in all curricular areas, communicating with parents, attending after school meetings and activities, analyzing and interpreting assessment data, and monitoring all social and academic behavior. 
In 2015, I received the opportunity to teach 7th and 8th grade ESL  science at Carpentersville Middle School in District 300, where I taught science concepts ranging from the parts of cells to the rock cycle, as well as differentiating these subjects for my Spanish-speaking students.
I am currently seeking full time employment as an elementary or middle school teacher in northern Illinois, although I would be willing to relocate if needed.
